| Specialist tax & accounts services for Freelancers from an Accountancy firm with low fixed annual fees and headed by a Chartered Tax Adviser who attended the inaugural PCG Freelancers Accredited Accountant course. All our work is done by a UK Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Adviser - we do not employ 'junior' staff nor do we subcontract our work.
Accountant4Freelancers (A4F) is owned by Chartered Tax Advisers, Lions Accountants Limited, a company formed in 2008. The two owners of Lions Accountants Ltd have between them over 35 years of experience within Chartered Accountancy firms; including 10 years as a partner with an independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Cambridge during which time the firm became a PCG Accredited Accountant via a 2 day specialist training course in May 2006. This was the PCG's inaugural PCG Quality Accountant course - a PCG initiative so that Freelancers could feel safe in the knowledge that these Accountants were trained in specialist tax and accounting matters that affected Freelancers. Freelancer limited companies, usually with a single knowledge worker at
the core, operate differently from most regular small businesses and
are subject to special legislation like IR35 and most high street
accountants lack the right expertise to advise fully. We have provided specialist advice and services to Freelance Consultants (who operate via their own Limited Company) since the early 1990s. Our services ensure that the compliance requirements for freelancers are dealt with efficiently and cost-effectively. Specialist pro-active advice is also provided, all within our low fixed fee arrangement. Our specialist services include employment status (e.g. IR35) issues and dividend planning (e.g. settlement legislation including Arctic Systems tax case). Our personnel are either qualified Chartered Accountants or Chartered Tax Advisers (or both!).
A summary of our personnel's experiences: - Preparation of owner-managed business accounts and tax returns (both incorporated and unincorporated and including Freelancers);
